This is a DST-SERB project in collaboration with IIT Roorkee (EMR/2016/001946). It is a field- based research project and the main theme of the project is to track the evolution of a growing tidal flat along the coast of Bay of Bengal near Talsari, Odisha. The tidal flat is fed by the river Subarnarekha. Outcome of this project will be applicable in unravelling the tidal flat deposits in ancient rock record. This project has another bearing on coastal erosion along Digha coast.
