Department of MATHEMATICS greets you heartily. Established as one of the major departments of the institute, since its inception in 2013, the department of MATHEMATICS is involved assiduously in teaching and research. With advanced laboratory, modern ICT techniques in teaching processes and excellent members of faculty, the department of MATHEMATICS offers one undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in MATHEMATICS.

The department has the doctoral programme in the area of
1. Operations Research – theoretical optimization
2. Plasma Mechanics – Non-linear dynamics
3. Operations Research – inventory and supply chain modeling
4. Numerical Wave modeling
5. Continuum mechanics

Research funding projects:
1. SERB DST funded project titled “Telecommunications of ENSO and IOD on Ocean Wave Parameters.” PI- Dr. Mourani Sinha. Total fund: 19 lakhs. Duration: 2014-2017.
2. ISRO Funded project titled “Data Adaptive Ocean Parameters from SCATSAT-1 Wind”. PI- Dr. Mourani Sinha. Total Fund-32.08 lakhs. Duration: 2017-2020.
3. Space Application centre (ISRO) funded project titled “Estimation of design and operational wave height statistics to assess coastal vulnerability along the east coast of India.” Total Fund: 16.66 lakhs. Duration: 2017-2019.
