Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are heavily dependent on Mathematics. But indeed these techniques are fragile and futile in making to build cognitive abilities to machines. But in future mathematicians might be able to come up with more sophisticated mathematical techniques and algorithms to solve these problems. Also many great minds are trying to unravel the unsolved mysteries and problems in physics and mathematics in-order to know how nature works and making our lives better.
