The Department of Earth Sciences at Techno India University, West Bengal driven forward by a team of eminent, dedicate professors, focuses on the study of the Earth, including its growth and internal dynamics, its surface processes, accentuating natural and man-made changes of the global environment with regard to sustainable development, given the biggest problem of population explosion. In addition to a contemporary teaching programme, students are prepared for high-class research that will facilitate meticulous assessment of questions related to the Earth Sciences, such as those connected with natural resources (identification and exploration techniques) and their benefits to society, and the understanding and alleviation of natural hazards.
