Welcome to the department of Computer Application. Established as one of the major departments of the institute, since its inception in 2013, the department of computer application is involved assiduously in teaching, learning and research. With advanced laboratory, state-of-the art computing facility, modern ICT techniques in teaching processes and excellent members of faculty, the department of computer application offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in computer application.
The department has six research areas namely, spectrum auction (game theory), soft computing, data mining, image processing and data science.
We want to bring all the researchers under the same umbrella. That is why our main focus has been in Data Science which will include statistical analysis, data mining, image processing, big data analysis, AI and machine learning.
Our vision towards the research program has been innovation of techniques by utilizing computational and statistical skills for data-driven multi-disciplinary problem solving to help improve the functionality of the business enterprises and to nurture the students of the department in acquiring the wisdom to enhance their employability at par with the world class standards.
