Department of chemistry greets you heartily. Established as one of the major departments of the institute, since its inception in 2013, the department of chemistry is involved assiduously in teaching and research. With advanced laboratory, modern ICT techniques in teaching processes and excellent members of faculty, the department of chemistry offers one undergraduate (B.Sc Hons.) and postgraduate programs in the frontier areas of Inorganic, Organic, Analytical, Polymer, Biological, and Physical Chemistry.
Department imparts holistic approach in maneuvering the student potential in term of their key skill development in the cutting edge technology and at the same time, prepare them for their future endeavor in the field of research and employability. In addition, department undertake undergraduate teaching course in the field of chemistry for the first year engineering graduates as well as for the B.Sc pass course students.
Department undertakes multifaceted doctoral research program in the field of Supramolecular chemistry, Polymer and Material Science, Biological Chemistry, Bioinorganic Chemistry, and Theoretical Chemistry. Presently department is bestowed with the doctoral program in the areas of: -
1. Bioinorganic chemistry particularly studying the properties of various porphyrin metal complexes.
2. Developing suitable nanocomposite material for dye degradation and its comparative study
3. Understanding the role of Vitamin D in clinical prognosis.
